Prince William Hockey Club offers competitive hockey at the Tier II level. We participate in the CBHL (Chesapeake Bay Hockey League) and generally travel to rinks in Virginia, Maryland and DC for our league games. Most travel teams also participate in several tournaments throughout the season.
It is our goal to provide a fun, competitive environment where young hockey players can gain the skills and experience they need to continue playing year after year. Some of PWHC's alumni choose to play college or junior hockey as well.
The Prince William Hockey Club will conduct Fall Mite tryouts for up to two 2014-2015 CBHL Travel Mite Teams. Tryouts are FREE and will be held at PWIC on Saturday, September 13th and the evening of Tuesday, September 16th. These CBHL Fall Mite Teams will participate in a 16 game CBHL season plus 2 or 3 tournaments. Mite CBHL games will not conflict with House ice slots on the weekends.

Exciting New Offering for Travel Skills and Goalie Clinics
The Prince William Hockey Club has partnered with the Network Hockey Development Program, led by former Washington Capitals star Craig Laughlin, to conduct challenging and enriching skills clinics for the Club's Travel players as well as all PWHC goalies for the 2014-2015 Fall/Winter hockey season.
The Network Hockey Development Program, based out of Laurel, Md., offers a variety of on-ice and off-ice programs to develop hockey players at all competition levels. NHDP's entire staff is packed with seasoned players and coaches with collegiate and professional hockey experience. Despite a grueling schedule as Comcast Sports Net's analyst for the Washington Capitals, Craig Laughlin will personally lead most of the clinics throughout the season.
This curriculum for training will be very intense and provide our players the opportunity to learn from a former NHL star. Craig and his staff will work with our player's mental and physical toughness, to help them compete harder. This program will help distinguish the Prince William Hockey Club as one of the best in the area for youth hockey development.
-All NHDP clinics will be held on Monday Evenings at the Prince William Ice Center
-All Travel Teams will have a 50 minute on-ice skills and a 30 minute video/chalk talk training session on alternating weeks
-Goalie Clinics will be 50 minutes on-ice plus a 30 minute off-ice session on alternating weeks for age specific training Mite/Squirt/Pee Wee one week and Bantam/Midget the following week
-Goalie Clinics will be open to currently rostered Travel and House goalies, any other attendees must have approval of their respective Program Director

With the recent media attention and better understanding of concussions in sports, the board of directors saw the need to create and address a concussion policy within our own club to protect the players and the coaches.
The goal of this was to not only educate the coaches, but the players and parents as well. While the training listed in the policy is mandatory for the coaches in house, inline, and travel, PWHC strongly encourages all families to review the information provided by the CDC.
The Prince William Hockey Club does not condone any acts of abusive behavior by its members towards officials, coaches, players, or spectators. All members have signed the Code of Conduct in accordance with PWHC’s Operational Guidelines and will be held accountable for their actions. For full policy details, click on the link below.
