So, I think I may have a concussion, now what?
1. Remove athlete from play. If you develop symptoms at school, go to the clinic. Do not return to any activity (physically or mentally tasking) before a proper evaluation.
2. Ensure athlete is evaluated by an appropriate health care professional, (i.e, ER or Primary Doctor).
3. Contact SCORE at 202-476-2429 for a “return to play” plan. You do NOT have to have a baseline test on file!
4. Read the below pdfs to learn more about concussions.
5. You must have a doctor's permission to return to play after a diagnosis of concussion. SCORE will supply written instructions for you, your coach and school.
