2011-2012 Travel Program Offerings

2012-2013 Travel Program Highlights

Prince William Hockey Club celebrated its return home to Dale City at the brand new Prince William Ice Center this past season. To coincide with PWIC's rebuild, our Travel Program enjoyed a banner year  while in the midst of a re-brand, offering more value to its members than any other local youth hockey club in the area. Our teams adavnced to CBHL playoffs at six age levels, with two finals  appearances culminating with one championship. We have added an off ice conditioning program as well as on ice skills development sessions.

Program Highlights:

- Registration fees will ultimately be determined by age group and number of players selected per team. The exact fees will be finalized once teams are locked in. A $350 deposit, along with a completed registration packet, will be required upon selection to a team. The remaining payments will be due monthly per PWHC procedures. These fees will include everything noted below

-Every age group will have two practices during the week. One will be shared, the second a full ice slot. The practice schedule will be determined after our ice contract with PWIC is finalized. Teams will have a consistent schedule (same days, times) throughout the season

-Every age group will usually have two sessions on the weekend, mainly games but could be practices.

-Weekly goalie clinics, free of charge to all Club members

-Newly added, Squirts through Bantams will have on ice skills development sessions twice per month per age group. This is in addition to the two weekly practices, resulting in three sessions every other week. There will be a rotation of Power Skating and Individual Skills, all age group specific. Midgets were excluded due to the high demands of academics and high school hockey. Individuals may have an option to participate at any additional cost

-Based on feedback from our membership and coaching staff, we will once again offer off ice conditioning this summer. We will contract with an outside company to provide professional services at PWIC to our Club as each team will have one session per week for a period of nine weeks leading up to our season-opening Training Camp in August

-We will resume our weekly on ice sessions beginning in mid June and running for a period of nine weeks. These will be 'team' based

We are excited  to be able to offer new programs at an affordable rate as we continue to rebuild our program at the beautiful, state of the art PWIC facility. PWHC has a long history of running quality programs and producing talented players. We feel the positive momentum gained this past season will allow us to continue this fine tradition as being both Prince William and Northern Virginia's premier youth hockey club.
