Beginning in the 2015-2016 Fall/Winter Hockey Season, Prince William Hockey Club operations will merge with the Potomac Patriots Youth Hockey Club. The Patriots will continue to offer House and Travel youth hockey programs for all ages at the Prince William Ice Center. The Patriots will utilize many of the same Prince William Hockey Club coaches and staff members and uphold the same pride and values in the players who came up through the Prince William Hockey Club program over the past several years. The Patriots mission also remains the same: to create a “cradle to college” hockey experience, in which players can develop, advance and pursue their hockey careers under one roof.
This merger is a constantly evolving process. The Potomac Patriots will conduct tryouts for the 2015-2016 Travel Season during the first weekend of May. The Patriots will offer House Hockey beginning in September. They will also offer a variety of camps and clinics over the summer of 2015. For more information about the Potomac Patriots and the various youth hockey programs they offer, please visit: www.potomacpatriots.net
The Potomac Patriots will field Tier II CBHL Travel teams (including Girls Teams) for the 2015-2016 regular season. Tryouts will be held on the first weekend of May. See the document below for the tryout schedule. Additional information about the program, including registration will be forthcoming.
Beginning April 15th, the Prince William Ice Center will offer a new and exciting option for all area Squirt and Pee Wee players. Every Wednesday from 6:10 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the Potomac Patriots will hold 3 on 3 Half Ice Games on the Olympic sheet with boards in place across Center Ice.
This new offering will conform to USA Hockey's Small Area Games Model to increase touches and allow players to learn to protect the puck and work in small areas. Two games will be held at the same time, reducing the wait time on the bench for all players thus increasing their ice time.
First four goalies will play for FREE. Cost is $15 per player. Sign ups will be at the Front Desk similar to a Stick and Shoot. Please bring a White and a Dark jersey so we can make the teams competitive.
This new offering will run all Spring and Summer, ending on August 12th.
Join us on April 15th and help spread the word!

The Prince William Hockey Family lost a long time volunteer and friend when Bill Elder passed away from a two year battle with cancer. Bill was a formerly the PWHC Inline Director, Vice President, Head Coach, Assistant Coach, and on various other committees within the club. Both of Bill's children grew up playing in all three Prince William Hockey Club programs.
Bill requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to multiple charities, to include the Prince William Hockey Club. If you would like to make a donation in Bill's name, you may do so by clicking on the Paypal Link.
To the Elder Family--You will be in our Prayers!
