The Panthers opened semi final action against the #2 seeded squad from Navy. PW opened the scoring six minutes into the game for a 1-0 lead. A tight defensive contest ensued as both teams played smart, disciplined hockey. A scoreless second period gave way to a brief intermission for an ice cut. A PW power play two minutes in gave the Panthers an opportunity to ice the game. However, Navy capitalized on a miscommunication between goalie and defenseman to score a shorthanded goal to tie it at 1-1. It stayed that way until the five minute mark when a goal mouth scramble result in the go-ahead goal for PW! The Panthers hung on for the 2-1 win and a date in the championship game on Sunday.

 #4 seed Reston upset the #1 team from Easton, scoring a 5-2 win in the second semifinal game. The Raiders will provide a tough opponent for the Panthers as they split their season series.
