The Panthers entered their 4th and final tournament of the season with one little monkey riding on their back: Making it to the championship game but falling just a little short in the end. The Panthers were determined not to let that happen again and to get rid of that monkey once and for all.
Facing the New York City Cyclones, Lehigh High Valley Flames, and the North London Nationals, the Panthers set the tone early with phenomenal team work and passion to come away with a four game sweep in the tournament. Many kids stepped up on the ice and elevated their game to the next level, but off the ice in the locker room is where the players stepped up and determined what they were going to do and how they were going to make it happen. Congrats on the gold medal boys!
Prior to the tournament, the Panthers got to renew friendships with former PWHC PeeWee AA goalie, Joe McElhenny, as they faced off against Joe's current Minor Bantam AA team in Buffalo, NY for a friendly game. Panthers came out strong and finished with a victory before the night was over. Fun was had by all.
The Rochester Americans failed to represent the City of Rochester however as they fell to the Hamilton Bulldogs on Sunday night as the Bantams got to relax and take in some AHL action.
