Girls Travel Ice Hockey

     Prince William Hockey Club fields two Girls' Travel Ice Hockey teams, one for girls aged 14 and under (14U) and for girls aged 19 and under (19U). Our travel season runs from late August through early March, following a fun but challenging weekly summer training program. PWHC girls compete primarily in the Capital Beltway Hockey League, facing other girls' teams from Raleigh, NC to Baltimore, MD. Most games are within a one-hour drive of our home rink in Dale City, Virginia. Additionally, both teams usually attend one or two weekend tournaments per season in places like York, PA or New Haven, CT. The PWHC girls' teams are distinguished within the club for their camaraderie, and they place a high priority on building character and leadership skills through mentor-protégé initiatives, hard work, and intense competition.

Girls 14U

     The Prince William Panthers Girls 14U team is coming off a rebuilding season in 2006-07 in which we experienced impressive development and enjoyed some exciting success. The 2007-08 season promises to be a break-out year for the Panther girls; as a returning core of players welcomes several new members as we go through our summer training program. We have a diverse range of skill levels and our veteran players are attentive mentors for their more novice teammates.

Girls 19U

     An experienced team core "aged-up" from the 14U team in 2006 and contributed to a highly successful '06-'07 season for the Panthers 19U. Beating out very accomplished competition at the York Pony Tail Tournament this March, the Panthers were tournament champions, winning in consecutive come from behind ties and shoot-out victories to take the tournament trophy. The 19U team fields players from Birth year 1992 to 1988.
