PWHC 18 & Under Team Makes Fourth Annual Trip to Canada
For the fourth year in a row, the Prince William Panthers 18
& Under team took the "A" game north of the border to play against Canadian youth hockey
teams.
Following previous trips to Toronto and Montreal, this year's 18 & Under A team visited Ottawa
February 15 - 8, 2008. In addition to playing three games against local Ottawa teams, this years
team attended an Ottawa Senators game against the New Jersey Devils at Scotiabank Place, and had
the opportunity to skate the 7-mile length of the Rideau Canal in the city of Ottawa. Many
lifetime memories were made, teams gifts exchanged and, as in previous years, a mutual love of
hockey made it easy for players and parents from PWHC and from the Canadian teams to become fast
friends.
With help from Mark Olsevich, who provided advice and contacts in Ottawa, the 18 & Under Panthers
had four memorable days in Canada's national Capitol city. The Panthers, pictured with players
from the Stittsville Redmen (Stittsville is the home of Washington Capitals' player Matt Bradley),
represented themselves and our Club with great pride and distinction.
As a result of friendships formed during the Panthers' visit to Ottawa, the boys from Stittsville are already raising funds in hopes of visiting our Nation's Capitol where we look forward to hosting them later this
year as our thanks for their gracious hospitality.
