PWHC 19U Girls Team Wins the Ponytail AGAIN!

     The U19 girls win the Ponytails tournament 2-1, in a shootout against the Stamford Spinnakers. The girls came back after a 4-1 loss to Stamford Friday night and put together back-to-back shutouts against the Lady Admirals of Greater Hampton and Montgomery Silver teams. Prince William made it to the championship by one point over the 3rd place Montgomery 16U team. The girls were out-shot in the championship game 34-9, but managed to stay with them 1-1 at the end of regulation. PW managed to win on the 4th shooter in the shootout. Congratulations to great team defense and outstanding goaltending by Nina Goncarovs, and for the shootout game winner by Caitlin Green. This was the U19 girls second year winning the Ponytails U19 division. Great season girls!

     The Pony Tail Tournament was held March 10 -12, 2006 in York, PA. sponsored by Baltimore Youth Hockey. More tournament information and pictures can be checked out at www.byhstars.org

     On a serious note the U19 team dedicated their games this weekend to the memory of Robert Snead with a touching of the center ice circle prior to each game.
