Coach and Referee Clinics
The following clincs are now open for registration.
Referee Level 4 - October 31.
Coach Levels 1 - 3 on November 7 & 8.
USAH requirements are level 1 for Mites, level 2 for Squirts, and level 3 for PeeWee and above. All coaches need the appropriate certification levels.
Please log on to www.usahockey.com and look under the "Coaches" section to view and register for clinics. These fill up very quickly. Do not delay in registering.
Coach’s Meeting Agenda
- 15 Min Information from USA Hockey, PVAHA, CBHL, and Club
- 15 Min Provide feedback and concerns back to Club, CBHL, PVAHA, and USA Hockey
- 30/45 Min Coaching Presentation
- 15 Min Question and Answer Session
Please remember that I have asked that all of our Travel coaches (Heads, Assts) attend every session.The first two are especially critical so please try your best to attend those. All Meetings will be held on Tuesday at 7:00pm in order to minimize the amount of additional time you will have to be at the rink.One assistant coach from each team that has a practice that conflicts with a Meeting will be excused to run their ice session.
Here is the schedule and the suggested topics. Please review this and provide me and RJ your feedback. There is a reciprocal responsibility as the Club will make these Meetings worth your time and you need to actively participate with your presence and feedback. The goal is to have all our coaches aware of the proper skill and team system progressions required of their age group and to emphasize the same Club philosophy for the growth and development of all our players. Hopefully, this will also include House and Inline coaches as well so the whole Club is on the same philosphical page.

- Feb-16 Goal Scoring
- Mar-16 End of Season Wrap up and Evaluation
- Apr-20 Preparation for Travel Tryouts
- May-18 Initial Parents Meeting, Setting Goals and Objectives
Please put the dates on your calendars and let me know if you think there are better/different things we should be covering. Thank you for all you do, volunteering to coach our kids. These are only going to be as successful as how much effort we all put into them.
