Dear Members of Prince William Hockey Club,

It has been a trying past couple of weeks for the Club. To most of us, the collapse of Prince William Ice Center was like losing a family member. Here is an update on the information that we have at this time.

PWHC - The Board is working together to build a financial and strategic plan to carry us through the coming months. Some of these activities include analyzing costs, identifying lost equipment, and the critical next steps to move forward. Rest assured, Prince William Hockey Club is on solid ground financially. If you have any financial questions, or any suggestions for the Board, please send them to our CFO, Becky Steele at cfo@pwhockey.com We appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing you at the Membership Meeting.

Prince William Ice Center - The rink owners are diligently working on getting the rink rebuilt. Prince William County considers the rink a great resource for the community and will fast track the rebuilding of the rink as much as they can. Estimates are that the new rink can be built in 6 months. The owners are working hard to get the building far enough along to open at least one rink by the start on next season. It's too early to know an exact schedule for reopening, but the owners hope to provide more details and answer member questions at the Annual Membership Meeting in March.

Spring Hockey - Spring Inline is now open for registration. Our Inline Director, Alex Eng, has agreed to let ice teams remain together and play inline as a team.
We are also working on an ice alternative. We feel confident that we will have something to announce in the very near future. We are working on the details of days, time, and cost. The most likely location will be Kettler Ice Center in Arlington. The Spring Ice session will start at the beginning of April and will last about 8 weeks.

Travel Tryouts - We are still planning on holding Travel team tryouts for the 2010-2011 season in early May. Specific location, dates, and times should be released by our March 23 Membership Meeting.

Annual Membership Meeting - Our Annual Membership Meeting will be held Tuesday, March 23 at 7:00pm at the Boys and Girls Club next to Prince William Ice Center.
Elections The following positions are up for election at our Annual Membership Meeting: Vice President, Executive Secretary, Travel Director, Inline Director. Send your nominations to Kris Brittigan at kbrittigan@yahoo.com.
