PeeWee AA Wins Silver in Montreal

Our PeeWee AA team competed in the CanAm tournament in Montreal Canada this past President's Weekend. We spent the beginning of this season fundraising, selling programs for the Capitals, and conducting raffles to help fund our trip. When all was said and done, we found ourselves on a motor coach leaving Dale City and on the road to Montreal.

After 14 hours of driving, and braving small obstacles like blizzards and the border, we played our first game on Friday beating the Embrun Ice Dogs 8-1. Later that afternoon we played the Retro Planet Colts and lost 7-2. On Saturday the boys came out in a hard fought game beating the Cornwall Colts 3 -2 and later that afternoon the boys put themselves in the championship game by beating the Essex Sting 6-4.

The following morning featured a championship game rematch between Prince William and Retro Planet Barrie Colts. Despite losing the game 5-0, we were the only other team in the tournament to hold the Colts to as few goals as we did.

The PeeWee AA Panthers proudly took 2nd place in a very competitive International Tournament. This after having lost their home rink and not been on the ice after several weeks of blizzards and no practice.
